Hello Coe, Cedar Rapids, Iowa…and the world!

Thank you for taking time to peruse Coe’s website and visit my blog! I am so excited to be communicating with you on “Kohawk Talk.” Hopefully this interactive site will allow me and fellow bloggers to tell you exactly what Coe College is all about.

As I’m typing my first entry right now, it’s actually quite difficult to summarize life as a Kohawk in just a few words. To even introduce you to the plethora of opportunities there are at Coe is overwhelming. Why?! Because in almost four years of being a Kohawk, I’ve discovered that Coe College is much more than going to class and studying. My daily activities surround my own classroom hours with a wide variety of events ranging from volleyball practice, FCA gatherings and Student Senate meetings, to eating lunch with staff members, rocking out to bands at Charlie’s and shaking the hands of Presidential hopefuls such as Barack Obama. The extracurricular activities offered at Coe are a great compliment to the strong academic environment this campus provides. There are so many things to do and so little time to do it all! So what do Coe students do exactly, and how do they find time to do everything they want?!

"Kohawk Talk" is here to give you a glimpse of Coe and tell you exactly what it's like to do it ALL! Learn how to live as a Kohawk day by day as Mitchell, Katie and I will relate our lives as Kohawks. Hopefully you are able to grasp a better concept of what college is all about and more importantly, what it is about Coe that has made my last four years as a Kohawk absolutely amazing!!

So stay tuned…I’ll be writing more about my volleyball season that just finished up last week, the upcoming spring semester, my three lovely roomies and all of the fun I plan on having during my final semester of college!
